Shore Power
The shore power connection is on the cabin bulkhead, starboard side. There are two heavy gauge cables, 50 metres and 30 metres, with adaptors for various marina systems. Immediately inside there is a power bar into which the battery manager unit and other shore power circuits plug. Strategically placed shore power outlets are located in the heads, galley and navigation station. Thus when shore power is connected the batteries are automatically charged at the appropriate rate according to their status.
Conversely, when 230v power is needed while sailing, such as for charging computers, toothbrushes, etc., those circuits can be plugged into the inverter and fed from the battery.

Battery Power
There are two batteries, a 240Ah deep cycle leisure battery located under the main cabin floor and a dedicated engine starting battery located in a compartment next to the quarter berth. They are both connected to the battery manager so that when the engine is running they are automatically charged at the appropriate rate according to their status. The engine starting battery was new in 2012. The deep cycle leisure battery was new in 2015.
Wiring to these batteries (new in 2005) incorporates master fuses and master switches for each. There is a temperature sensor on the leisure battery.
The electrical panel, located under the cockpit stairs in the main cabin incorporates 12 switched and individually fused 12v circuits. There are 12v power receptacles at the navigation station and in the face of the panel.
Specific details for all electrical lighting and equipment will be found in the detailed specifications.
