  'Enterprise' Classic Yacht
Yacht ‘Enterprise’ Van Dam 34

Built at Van Dam at Aalsmeer, Netherlands 1974

 MMSI 244130118 ; Call Sign PH 5626

In 2005 we realised that as ’live-aboards ‘ we would be drinking most of our water through the ship’s storage system and it was therefore essential to have the most hygienic system possible. Consequently we had custom stainless steel tanks made.

They needed to be removable but without the possibility of water pockets between them and the hull. We therefore greased the exterior and foamed them in place. The vent/overflow pipe discharges into the galley sink.

The plumbing to these tanks is such that there is a choice of which tank to fill and which to draw from. This is important for the rotation of water usage so that it does not stay too long in the tank.
